Conclusion: At a quaternary care institution, Black and Hispanic patients were significantly less likely than White patients to undergo minimally invasive surgery for uterine fibroids, particularly for hysterectomy.
Conclusion: Urinary symptoms are often associated with uterine fibroids. The most frequently reported symptoms are overactive bladder symptoms and stress urinary incontinence. Urinary symptoms improve significantly after surgery.
Discussion: This study illustrates that histotripsy is capable of fibroid ablation under certain pulsing parameters and warrants further investigation as an improved non-invasive ablation method for the treatment of leiomyomas.
